5 Tips To Ensure Child Safety

Clinton once said: “There is nothing more precious to a parent than a child, and nothing more important to our future than the safety of all our children.”

Children are the greatest gift from God and should be treated with extraordinary care. But with every passing day, the increasing news headlines about horrendous criminal acts against children such as kidnapping, abuse, and assault are more than just disturbing.

Here are 5 informative tips to ensure that the little ones are safe at all times :

  1. Don’t Talk To Strangers

dont talk to strangers

Tell kids that if a stranger ever approaches and offers a ride or treats (like candy or toys) or asks for help with a task (like helping find a lost dog), they should step away, yell “No!” and leave the area immediately.

2. Monitor With GPS TRACKER

Knowing where your child is at all times, is very important.

Today, tracking devices come in various shapes, even in a kid’s wearable form, attached to a watch or an extremely convenient necklace.

Equip your child with a GPS Tracker, as most tracking devices have live tracking facilities, configuration through SMS, and are compact and light-weighted as well.

3. When alone at home

Ensure that a GSM integrated alarm system is effectively installed at home.

Tell your child not to open the door for anyone, and ensure that all the windows and doors are locked before you leave your child alone at home.

Your little one should be able to recite your cell phone number, so that, in case of any emergency, he or she would be able to contact you.

4. Educate Them About Child Abductors

In the most non-frightening way, explain who child abductors are and what they do.

This extra knowledge that your child possesses will help him in the future, to be cautious and trust his instincts in times of emergency.

5. Make noise if you are in trouble

make lot of noise

Teach children to use their voices and bodies to get away when someone is acting scarily.

Scream, bang something hard so that people can hear you, and if someone grabs you, your safety plan is to hit, kick, and yell until you can get away and get help. Give them Personal safety alarms and tell them how they can use them to raise help signals.

These alarms once activated, are quite tricky to turn off, so in a way, it comes as an added advantage over screaming.
