How are GPS tracking devices helping Jharkhand?

 

1.Pink patrol van with GPS tracking system

The Jharkhand government have released a GPS enabled pink van to enhance the security and keep an eye on stalkers and gropers at the place of education for girls. The van will have three mahila constables armed with lathis, one male constable (driver) and an armed ASI ranked officer. The patrol van also has a GPS tracker to inform its location to Sakchi police control room about the whereabouts of the van.

2.GPS enabled garbage truck

The garbage trucks of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) have been installed with GPS tracking system to their fleet of 23 vans. They’ve installed a 3G SIM given by BSNL, as per an MoU with the state government. Now it’ll be easier for them to determine if the garbage trucks are collecting the garbage as per the cleaning roster or not.
