Canon’s First Full-Frame Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera with built in EVF, the EOS R features the breakthrough in mount technology for high-speed communication between lens and camera. The DIGIC 8 processor not only enables the camera to support new features such as in-camera Digital Lens Optimiser, but also enhances Dual Sensing IS and Combination IS, which provide 5 stops image stabilisation for 30.3megapixel stills and 4K UHD videos.
At the heart of the EOS R system lies the amazing RF mount. It’s designed to deliver the ideal combination of speed, durability, and flexibility plus future system expansion. Featuring a 54mm internal diameter, flange focal distance of 20mm, and a robust 12 pin connection between the camera and the lens, it enables impressive handling while maintaining the mount rigidity.
With the EOS R camera’s all-new Flexible-priority AE mode (Fv), you can easily set features such as shutter speed, aperture, and ISO to respond automatically or manually for greater convenience and flexibility.
The EOS R camera’s newly designed multi-function bar provides a high level of functionality and customization options for fast, intuitive shooting. Positioned to sit right under the thumb, the multi-function bar recognizes three touch actions: swipe left tap and right tap. This allows the user to change settings including AF mode, ISO sensitivity, white balance, and movie modes; check manual focus, and more. The bar can also be used to quickly browse finished photos or set shortcuts during playback.
