The DJI Avata Fly Smart Combo is a drone designed for beginners and casual users. It comes with a 1080p camera and a three-axis gimbal for smooth and stable video and photo capture. O3+ Transmission

The Avata drone’s O3+ transmission system uses 2T2R omnidirectional antennas to provide Full HD 1080p video with low latency (30 ms) and a high data transfer rate (50 Mb/s) to your controller or compatible FPV goggles (not included). This footage is compressed with H.265 to save on storage space and can be transmitted from up to 6.2 miles away. The Avata can also record video at a high frame rate of up to 100 fps

Turtle Mode

If the Avata drone encounters a hard impact that causes it to land on its back, you can use Turtle Mode to flip it back onto its feet. Activate this feature with a few taps on the controller, and the Avata will right itself and resume flying. The propeller guards on the Avata help to protect it from minor bumps and collisions, but Turtle Mode can come in handy in the event of a more serious impact

DJI Avata Fly Smart Combo FPV drone with 18-minute flight time launched

DJI recently added another product to its existing lineup called the Avata FPV drone. According to the company, Avata offers ‘the ultimate immersive drone experience’ for first-person view drone fans.

Featuring a 2,420mAh battery, DJI claims Avata has a flight time of up to 18 minutes. It offers a 155-degree field of view thanks to an ultrawide camera with a 1/1.7″ CMOS sensor. Users can capture 4K videos at 60fps or opt to record 2.7K videos at 50,60,100 or 120 fps.

The DJI Avata can either hover like a normal drone or accelerate quickly and get in and out of tight spaces. The company also claims that it can stop ‘in a fraction of a second.’ In case you manage to somehow land the drone on its back, DJI says the new ‘Turtle mode’ can help flip itself and take off without hassles.
