Description

Parrot ANAFI 4K Drone

Parrot Anafi Drone, the 4k HDR compact remote control drone, is equipped with sony optical sensor which stabilizes on 5 axes and is designed to be deployable even in extreme situations. Be a nomad, with 25 minutes of battery life, and return to home mode. Parrot Anafi, a company that is mostly known for drones tailored to kids or beginner pilots, on the other hand, is still around. The new Anafi is the company’s direct answer to DJI’s recent Mavic Air and is a compact, capable drone that promises to capture stunning aerial footage in 4K. It also introduces a few features you can’t find on other drones today.

The Parrot Anafi 4K HDR Drone Camera is a compact yet powerful tool designed for enthusiasts and professionals alike, offering unparalleled aerial photography and videography capabilities. Let’s dive into its extensive features:

4K HDR Video and 21MP Photos: The Parrot Anafi raises the bar for drone photography with its ability to capture stunning 4K HDR videos and 21MP high-resolution photos. The High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology adjusts the exposure on the fly, ensuring that every detail is crisply captured with vibrant colors, even in challenging lighting situations. This feature is particularly beneficial for professional photographers and videographers looking to produce high-quality content with aerial views.

180° Tilt Gimbal: Distinctively, the Anafi is outfitted with a gimbal that can tilt 180 degrees vertically, offering unparalleled flexibility in camera angles. This feature enables users to take upward-facing shots, a capability not commonly found in drones, thus allowing for creative shots like never before, such as capturing the underside of bridges or the tops of towering structures from a unique perspective.

Lossless Zoom: With its advanced lossless zoom capability, the Anafi provides up to 2.8x zoom for 1080p videos, allowing you to get closer to your subject without moving the drone and without any loss in image quality. This is particularly useful for capturing detailed shots from a distance, ensuring that wildlife is not disturbed or that you can safely inspect structures.

Compact and Portable Design: Designed for adventurers and professionals on the go, the Anafi features a sleek, lightweight, and foldable design, making it incredibly portable. This drone can easily fit into a backpack, ready to be deployed at a moment’s notice, making it an ideal companion for travel, hiking, and outdoor photography sessions.

Long Battery Life: One of the Anafi’s standout features is its long battery life, offering up to 25 minutes of flight time per charge. This extended flight time allows users to explore and capture more footage without the constant worry of running out of battery, making it perfect for longer missions or shoots.

Quick Charge: Embracing modern convenience, the Anafi supports USB-C fast charging, which means it can be charged from almost anywhere, be it through a power bank, car charger, or laptop. This feature ensures that you can quickly get back to flying and capturing content even when you’re on the move.

Wind Resistance: The Anafi is built to be resilient, capable of flying in wind speeds of up to 50km/h. This stability in windy conditions guarantees that your footage remains smooth and undisturbed, and that the drone can be confidently flown in less than ideal weather, ensuring reliable performance when you need it most.

Smart Dronies: To make aerial photography more accessible, the Anafi includes automated flight modes like dronies, orbit, parabola, and boomerang. These smart modes automate complex flying maneuvers for captivating shots, allowing even beginners to capture professional-looking footage with ease.

Follow Me Mode: Available through an in-app purchase, the “Follow Me” mode uses GPS and visual tracking to have the Anafi follow you autonomously. This feature is invaluable for solo adventurers, athletes, or vloggers who wish to capture dynamic footage of their movements without needing a dedicated camera operator.

Geofence and Smart RTH (Return to Home): Enhancing safety and ease of use, the Anafi features geofencing, which lets users define the boundaries of the drone’s flight area, and Smart RTH, ensuring that the drone automatically returns to its launch point in case of a lost connection or low battery. These features provide peace of mind, knowing that the drone will remain within a safe operational area and return home when necessary.

Quiet Flight: The Anafi is engineered to fly quietly, reducing noise pollution and making it less likely to disturb wildlife or attract unwanted attention during flight. This quiet operation makes the Anafi suitable for sensitive environments, allowing for discreet filming or photography sessions.

FreeFlight 6 App: The intuitive FreeFlight 6 app complements the Anafi’s hardware, providing a user-friendly interface for drone control. With features like live video feed, easy access to camera settings, and flight data, the app enhances the flying experience, making it straightforward to capture and share your aerial adventures.

Each of these features demonstrates the Parrot Anafi 4K HDR Drone Camera’s commitment to providing a high-quality, user-friendly flying and filming experience, making it an excellent choice for both drone enthusiasts and professionals.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is your drone camera ready to fly? Several checks must be made before take-off.

A: Check the weather forecast: to fly your drone safely, choose a day when the wind is light and it is not raining.
To check if the weather is good for flying, download the UAV Forecast app that uses precise calculations to advise you on whether it is safe to fly your drone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uavforecast&hl=fr
Check that your smartphone, your Parrot Skycontroller 3, and your ANAFI have enough battery life for the duration of the flight.
Also, check that your drone has enough memory to store the videos and photos you are planning to take during the flight: On the microSD card supplied with ANAFI, you can store an entire flight in 4K video, but not two complete flights! Consequently, we recommend that you save your content and empty the card after each flight.

What type of battery is fitted to ANAFI?

A: ANAFI is equipped with a Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery. The latter needs to be handled and stored in a particular way if you want to maximize its lifetime.

Q: How to store ANAFI’s battery?

A: If you are not using your battery, it must be stored correctly. Ideally, it should be stored with a charge of between 40 and 65% in a dry and well-ventilated area at a temperature of about 20°C (or 68°F)

How to charge a new battery?

A: A new battery, just out of the box, is charged to approximately 50 %. As with any high-performance equipment, it is important to keep your battery in peak condition to optimize its capacities. We, therefore, recommend that you systematically recharge the battery for about half an hour after the end of your first few flights.

How to charge a discharged battery?

A: Always wait for at least twenty minutes before charging a discharged battery. In any case, if your battery is still warm, this is the sign that it must “rest” before recharging.

How to carry your ANAFI?

A: ANAFI is delivered in its carrying case, so you can take ANAFI with you everywhere!
Each airline has its own rules regarding the transportation of LiPo batteries, but, whatever the situation, you are allowed to take your carrying case with you in the cabin, provided that the battery is properly installed on ANAFI.

What is the lifetime of a LiPo battery?

A: LiPo battery has a lifetime of about 300 charge cycles, but it all depends on how you maintain your battery. That’s why we are giving you this advice to maximize its lifetime!

What are the factors that can damage the battery?

A: Several factors can significantly reduce the battery LIFE.
Never leave a charged battery on a charger.
Do not fully discharge the batteries before recharging them.
Never expose LiPo batteries to extreme temperatures.

How to increase the lifetime of a battery?

A: To preserve your battery as much as possible, be sure to follow the advice below:
Don’t store a battery that is fully discharged.
Charge your battery fully when using it for the first time.
Do not charge a battery that is still warm.
Recharge the battery after each use – within 20 minutes.
Always carry your battery in a bag with fire protection.
Always respect the charging time indicated in the instructions.
Never use a swollen or damaged battery.
