This compact, handheld cinema camera delivers professional-level imaging in a lightweight, cage-free body, letting you mount accessories directly to the camera for faster setup and more flexibility on the go.

Firmware Update v2.0 – Enhanced Cinema Workflow

With Firmware 2.0, the FX3 aligns seamlessly with Sony’s Cinema Line workflow. Key updates include:

• Advanced log shooting with Cine EI mode

• Import user LUTs for precise color grading

• Timecode sync via optional cable

• Simplified, intuitive camera interface

Important Notes When Updating from v1.01 or Earlier:

• Save your current settings—updating will reset them

• S-Log2 is removed; switch to S-Log3 for log shooting

• Improved connection with Imaging Edge Mobile v7.7+

• NFC one-touch pairing is no longer available

The FX3 features a 12.1MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor (10.2MP effective for video) paired with the BIONZ XR processor to deliver stunning UHD 4K video. Capture rich, detailed footage with internal 10-bit 4:2:2 sampling or 16-bit raw output.

Its back-illuminated design boosts low-light sensitivity, and an expandable ISO range of 80–409,600 gives you exceptional versatility in any lighting scenario. With 15+ stops of dynamic range, you can retain fine detail in both shadows and highlights, making grading in post-production smoother.

• S-Cinetone for beautiful skin tones and compatibility with VENICE, FX9, or FX6 footage

• S-Log3/S-Gamut3.Cine for professional-grade color grading

• HLG 10-bit for effortless HDR production

The sensor’s Fast Hybrid AF system provides intelligent subject tracking, ensuring smooth, precise focus even during fast-moving scenes.

4K Full-Frame Performance

The full-frame sensor delivers shallow depth-of-field, natural bokeh, and minimal rolling shutter artifacts. Record UHD 4K at up to 120 fps, or slow-motion Full HD at up to 240 fps for stunning creative options.
