Who can become an xBoom Channel Partner?
Anyone running an existing tech / electronics / camera / aviation / agriculture / surveying / system-integration business in India. Most common partner profiles: retailers and electronics dealers looking to add drones to their catalogue, surveying firms who already do field work, agriculture distributors moving into spray drones (Agras T50 / T25), system integrators running inspection / survey / mapping projects, training centres wanting to offer drone training alongside their existing programmes, and regional drone-service operators. We also accept individual entrepreneurs with relevant industry background.
What investment is required?
Investment depends on tier. Authorised Reseller tier requires no upfront security deposit — you order on demand against confirmed customer requirements. Regional Dealer tier may involve a refundable security deposit and/or initial inventory commitment depending on territory size and product mix. Specific investment numbers are shared after the qualifying call. No franchise fees, no monthly subscriptions, no software licence costs.
What pricing or margins do I get as a partner?
Partner pricing varies by SKU category and partner tier — we don't publish a public margin table because it's tied to your tier, committed monthly run-rate, and the specific manufacturer's programme. As a reference, retail-channel margins on consumer drones in India sit in the high single digits, enterprise drones and payloads carry higher margins, and accessories / service revenue are the most profitable lines. Full margin sheet is shared after onboarding NDA.
Do I need a physical store?
Not required for the Authorised Reseller tier — you can operate as an online or referral-based reseller. Regional Dealer tier benefits significantly from a physical demo facility (even a small space with a flying area or covered indoor demo zone) because high-ticket enterprise drone customers expect to see and fly the unit before purchase.
What training and support do you offer?
Three layers. (1) Product training at our HSR Layout, Bengaluru facility — typically 2–3 days covering catalogue, demo handling, basic flying, KYC compliance, order workflow. (2) Sales and marketing support — branded marketing collateral, social-media-ready creatives, lead-magnet templates, launch-event support. (3) Ongoing technical support — dedicated WhatsApp partner group, weekly product update calls, escalation route for enterprise enquiries, back-end coordination for KYC, RPC, repairs, warranty.
Can I sell anti-drone (X-Guard) systems?
Counter-UAS sales in India are restricted to verified government, defence, public-safety, and licensed enterprise buyers under DGCA and MHA frameworks. Regional Dealers with the right credentials and end-user relationships can be authorised to handle anti-drone enquiries. We require demonstrated end-user relationships, KYC + end-use verification on every prospect, and we typically run these as joint pursuits with our enterprise team. Authorised Resellers can refer leads but don't close anti-drone deals directly.
How long does it take to onboard?
Five steps: (1) Application — same day. (2) Qualifying call — within 2 working days. (3) Documentation: GST, business registration, KYC, signed partner agreement — 1–2 weeks. (4) Onboarding training at HSR Layout — 2–3 days. (5) Catalogue access & first order placement — immediate after training. Total: typically 2–4 weeks from first conversation to placing your first order.
Are there exclusive territories?
Authorised Reseller tier is non-exclusive — multiple partners can operate in the same city, and customers choose who they prefer to buy from. Regional Dealer tier offers territory exclusivity for specific product categories (typically agriculture drones in defined districts, or enterprise drone + dock combinations in regional clusters) where you commit to a monthly run-rate. Exclusivity terms are tier- and territory-specific.
Can I become a partner from outside India?
Yes. xBoom has a Dubai office at Ontario Tower, Business Bay, and we work with Channel Partners across the GCC for regional drone & robotics distribution. International partner terms differ from India terms because of customs, regulatory, and currency considerations. WhatsApp our team to discuss country-specific arrangements. We do not currently take partners in markets where DJI / Autel / Unitree maintain exclusive in-country distributors.
