Read this
before shipping.
The fine print, told plainly. Six points that cover inspection, warranty, collection and liability — worth two minutes before you ship a drone you care about.
₹1,999 is non-refundable
The inspection fee covers the diagnostic pass only — motor tests, firmware audit, gimbal calibration, physical inspection. It does not apply against subsequent repair work and is not refundable if you decide not to repair.
Remove data and disclose history
Before shipping, remove SD cards, personal media and removable accessories. Disclose all previous repairs, modifications, water exposure or crash events — undisclosed history can void the one-month repair warranty.
Bill cleared before handover
The full invoice must be settled before the drone is released. xBoom reserves the right to retain the product until all payments clear. All standard digital payment methods accepted; GST invoice issued on request.
Parts availability may affect timing
Most repairs complete within 3–7 working days. If a part is on international backorder, you'll be notified within 48 hours of the quote with a revised ETA and the option to accept or cancel the repair.
One month from handover
Every repair carries a 1-month warranty from the date of handover, covering the specific components replaced and the labour performed. Warranty is void if the drone is crashed, opened, or damaged post-repair in a way that affects the repaired component.
Collect within 7 days
Repaired drones must be collected within 7 days of the completion notification. A storage fee of ₹100 per day applies for every additional day. After 30 days, xBoom may dispose of uncollected units to recover costs.
Frequently
asked.
The questions we hear most often from pilots, enterprise operators and research teams before booking a repair.
How long does a typical repair take?
Most quadcopter repairs complete in 3–7 working days from drone arrival. Enterprise Matrice platforms and custom builds may take 7–15 days depending on part availability and complexity. Water-damage recovery adds 2–3 days for dry-out.
Do you repair drones not bought from xBoom?
Yes. We service drones purchased anywhere, including grey-market imports and second-hand units. Grey-market drones may have limited warranty support and longer parts lead times — we'll flag this in the quote.
Can I send a Matrice or enterprise drone?
Yes. Matrice 300/350, M30, M3E and agriculture platforms like Agras T40 are serviced at the Bengaluru centre. Enterprise repairs often require OEM-authorised workflows; our technicians are certified for this.
What if the quote is higher than I expected?
You're not obligated to proceed. Approve, decline, or ask us to scope down to essential-only repairs. The inspection fee is retained but the drone is returned (buyer pays return shipping).
Do you repair underwater drones (ROVs)?
Yes. QYSEA FIFISH series, custom ROVs and SwellPro waterproof drones are serviced. Water-damage recovery follows a different protocol — controlled dry-out, PCB treatment, seal replacement and pressure testing.
Is my data safe during repair?
We ask you to remove SD cards before shipping. If internal storage must be accessed for diagnostic work, it's done under NDA on secured hardware. For enterprise and defence customers, formal data-handling agreements are standard.
Do you offer AMC contracts?
Yes. Annual maintenance contracts are available for enterprise customers with fleets — preventive servicing, priority repair, on-site support for Matrice and Agras platforms. Pricing is per drone, negotiated by fleet size.
Can I watch or receive updates during the repair?
Yes. Every repair has a status thread — you'll receive updates at each stage (arrival, diagnosis, quote, approval, parts ordered, repair complete, ready for collection). For enterprise jobs we share photos at key milestones.
