Train to fly. Properly.
India's drone industry needs trained pilots faster than the country can train them. xBoom runs a focused 4-Day Foundation Training at our HSR Layout centre — classroom theory, simulator practice, custom drone build, supervised solo flying — and co-ordinates the DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) pathway through our partner RPTO for students who need the government certificate to fly commercially. Plug into our Drone Pilot Network for real project work.
Seven reasons xBoom is the right place to learn.
We've stripped out filler. Every minute of the 4 days is structured around what makes a drone pilot employable — DGCA-aware, simulator-fluent, hands-on with builds, and confident on solo flight. No padding.
Drone Pilot Training Program
Go beyond and hone your pilot skills through our flagship drone pilot training program. Foundation to airborne in just 4 days. Designed for serious students who want to fly professionally.
Certified Instructors
Adept and qualified team of expert trainers — DGCA-aware, drone-builder background, on-field flying experience. Small batches mean instructor attention stays high throughout.
DGCA-Aligned Syllabus
Curriculum follows the Drone Rules 2021 and CAR Section 3 Series X Part 1. The course covers exactly what you need for legal, safe, professional drone operation in India — and prepares you to fast-track the formal DGCA RPC through our partner RPTO.
Training Certificate
Diploma in Drone Technology for completing the MULTIROTOR DRONE/UAV PILOT COURSE — issued on the final day, signed and serially-numbered. Widely recognised by Indian drone employers.
100% Practical Training
Three of the four days are hands-on. Flight simulators · supervised practicals · custom drone assembly · solo flying. Theory only takes Day 1. The skies do the rest.
Job-Oriented Syllabus
Built around what drone employers actually need: regulatory compliance, equipment maintenance, simulator-to-real transition, build-from-scratch competence, and supervised solo competence.
Drone Pilot Network
Alumni get plugged into our drone-as-a-service network — survey, mapping, agri-spray, inspection, drone shows. Top-batch performers can join xBoom's own field operations team on short-term contracts.
From classroom to solo flying.
Four days. Four steps. Day 1 builds your regulatory and aerodynamic foundation. Day 2 transitions you to the air through the simulator. Day 3 makes you build a drone end-to-end. Day 4 is solo. Every day adds a new layer of competence.

Hours of stick time. Not slides.
Theory takes one day. The other three are flying — supervised practical, simulator, custom assembly, then solo. We believe pilots are made on the sticks, not in slide decks.
Assemble a custom drone. Then fly it.
By the end of Day 3, you'll have built a multirotor from frame up — motors, ESCs, flight controller, radio, props. We'll teach you the wiring discipline, calibration sequence, and pre-flight check that experienced builders use. Then you'll fly your own build under instructor supervision before the day ends.
Most pilot courses skip this. We don't, because being able to diagnose and fix your drone in the field is what separates a pilot from an operator.
A diploma now. An RPC, when you need it.
Day 4 graduates of the Foundation Training receive the xBoom-issued Diploma in Drone Technology — numbered, signed, dated. For commercial flying, the DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) is the legally required credential, and we co-ordinate that pathway through our partner RPTO.
Diploma in Drone Technology
Awarded by xBoom for completing the MULTIROTOR DRONE/UAV PILOT COURSE. Documents your training across regulations, multirotor theory, equipment maintenance, simulator competence, custom drone build, and supervised solo flight.
Recognised by Indian drone employers. The Drone Pilot Network uses your diploma serial to verify alumni status when matching you with project work.
Note: The xBoom Diploma is not a DGCA-issued certificate. For commercial drone operation in India, you require the DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) issued by an authorised RPTO via the DigitalSky portal. xBoom co-ordinates the RPC pathway through our partner RPTO — 5 days for Small RPC (drones up to 25 kg) or 7 days for Small + Medium combined.
What our alumni actually do.
India needs drone pilots far faster than the country is producing them. Trained alumni go in six different directions — pick what suits your background and city.
Survey & mapping pilot
Construction sites, real estate, infrastructure projects, mining quarries — drones for high-precision aerial mapping with RTK and photogrammetry.
Inspection pilot
Power lines, wind turbines, solar plants, oil & gas pipelines, communication towers — high-resolution thermal and visual inspection from the air.
Agriculture spray operator
DJI Agras T50 / T25 spraying. India's fastest-growing drone segment — paid per acre, demand outstrips trained pilots in most states.
Wedding & cinematography pilot
Aerial cinematography for weddings, films, events. Steady year-round demand in metros and tier-1 cities.
Drone show pilot
Choreographed light shows for corporate events, weddings, public events. xBoom runs an active drone-shows business — alumni often join field teams.
In-house enterprise pilot
Construction, mining, defence, public-safety organisations hire trained pilots in-house. Stable salary roles with growing benefits packages.
We'll help you reach the sky.
Limited seats · 6–10 students per batch · twice-monthly 4-Day Foundation intakes. DGCA RPC batches scheduled separately through our partner RPTO. Register for the Foundation here, or WhatsApp us if you want the RPC pathway directly.
Common questions, answered.
Who is this drone pilot training program for?
Why is xBoom's training 4 days but DGCA RPC training is 5–7 days?
Is xBoom a DGCA-authorised RPTO? Will I get the DGCA RPC after the 4-day course?
The 4-day course is run by xBoom and follows a syllabus aligned with Drone Rules 2021 and CAR Section 3 Series X Part 1. On completion you get the xBoom Diploma in Drone Technology — recognised by Indian drone employers and a strong pre-RPC foundation, but it is not a DGCA-issued credential.
The DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) is a separate, government-issued credential that can only be issued by a DGCA-authorised RPTO via the DigitalSky portal. It takes 5 days for Small RPC (drones up to 25 kg) and 7 days for Small + Medium combined (up to 50 kg). xBoom co-ordinates the RPC pathway through a partner RPTO — Foundation graduates often get fast-track scheduling and partial credit on the theory component.
If you only need to fly drones for personal use or hobby, the 4-day Foundation is enough. If you need to fly commercially in India, you legally require the RPC.
How long is the course and how many hours per day?
What does the course fee include?
What certificate do I get?
The xBoom Diploma is not a DGCA-issued certificate. For commercial drone flying, India legally requires the DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC), which is a separate credential issued by an authorised RPTO via DigitalSky (5 days for Small RPC, 7 days for Small + Medium). We co-ordinate the RPC pathway through our partner RPTO — Foundation graduates get fast-track scheduling.
