The most advanced educational hexapod platform on the market — 18 intelligent serial-bus servos, an NVIDIA Jetson Nano B01 brain, inverse-kinematics tripod & ripple gaits, a 2-DoF HD camera, an IMU that keeps six legs balanced on any terrain, and a full ROS Melodic / Noetic stack with 150+ dual-language tutorials.
Wheeled robots are easy. Legged robots are the frontier. JetHexa gives you 18-DOF hexapod locomotion, a Jetson-class AI brain, and open-source Python — so your lab can research gait, biomechanics, terrain adaptation and embodied AI without building the mechanics from scratch.

Six legs, three joints per leg, all driven by Hiwonder’s intelligent serial-bus servos rated at 35 KG-cm holding torque and 240° travel. The chassis is hard-anodized aluminum alloy — light enough for a student to lift, stiff enough to survive a research-lab lifetime.

Three gaits ship pre-tuned, with real-time control over pitch, roll, direction, height, speed and stride. The inverse-kinematics solver runs on-board so you can teleoperate or script new motions in Python without solving 18 joint angles by hand. A built-in IMU keeps posture stable on rough terrain.

A 2-DoF pan/tilt monocular HD camera feeds an AI stack pre-tuned for the Jetson Nano: YOLO object detection, MediaPipe body / gesture recognition, KCF target tracking, color and line following, AprilTag pose estimation. TensorRT acceleration keeps every model at real-time framerates.

Ubuntu 18.04 + ROS Melodic / Noetic pre-configured, with Gazebo simulation and RViz visualisation ready. Control JetHexa from the WonderAi iOS / Android app for demos, a wireless gamepad for competition runs, keyboard teleop for debugging, or your own ROS node for the actual research work.
Every angle of the standard kit.
Full mechanical, electrical, and software configuration — exactly what ships in the box.
Specs per Hiwonder 2026 datasheet. Standard kit is monocular-camera only — the Advanced kit adds 3D depth camera + EAI G4 Lidar for full SLAM. Institution discount, GeM, KYC and pan-India delivery on enquiry.

The legged robot Indian research groups, engineering colleges and competition teams reach for when a wheeled robot won’t cut it.
Hexapod locomotion, gait research, terrain adaptation and biomechanics — publish-quality experiments on an open Python stack.
The 150+ bilingual tutorials map onto a full 6-stage robotics elective — Linux, ROS, motion, vision, autonomy.
Tripod-gait speed events, AprilTag navigation, object-tracking challenges — competition-ready out of the box.
Jetson Nano + TensorRT + YOLO + MediaPipe on legged hardware — a classroom-scale platform for embodied intelligence research.
Yes — 18 DOF, 35 KG-cm servo torque, Jetson Nano B01, open-source Python and full ROS Melodic / Noetic support make JetHexa the go-to educational hexapod for locomotion research, gait engineering and embodied-AI experiments. Most Indian PhD / MTech groups can adopt it as their primary platform on day one.
The Standard Kit ships with a monocular HD camera — ideal for AI-vision courses, YOLO / MediaPipe experiments and locomotion research. The Advanced Kit adds a 3D depth camera and an EAI G4 360° Lidar so you can run full SLAM, 3D mapping and autonomous navigation on legged hardware.
Three gaits ship pre-tuned — tripod, ripple, and moonwalk — each with real-time control over pitch, roll, direction, height, speed and stride. The inverse-kinematics solver is exposed via Python, so students can design and script new gaits without solving 18 joint angles by hand.
Yes — the Jetson Nano B01 ships with TensorRT, TensorFlow, PyTorch, YOLO and MediaPipe pre-installed and pre-tuned. Colour tracking, KCF target tracking, gesture recognition, AprilTag pose estimation and MediaPipe body detection are ready-to-run demos. Add your own LLM / OpenAI integration for voice conversation.
Ubuntu 18.04 with both ROS Melodic and ROS Noetic pre-installed. Gazebo simulation and RViz visualisation are ready-to-launch. All Hiwonder Python nodes are open-source and fully annotated.
