Semi-humanoid robots · dual-arm manipulation & embodied AI · Authorised Unitree distributor
Semi-humanoid robots. A torso, two arms.
A semi-humanoid robot is a human-like upper body — torso, waist, a 2-DOF head and two dexterous arms — on a fixed, lifting or mobile base instead of legs. XBOOM supplies the full Unitree dual-arm semi-humanoid range for manipulation, data collection and embodied-AI research — from the entry R1-A to the G1-D and the heavy-duty H2-A, with setup, training and support from our Bengaluru team.
The part of a humanoid that does the work.
A semi-humanoid keeps the human-like torso, waist, head and two dexterous arms — and drops the bipedal legs. Mounted on a fixed base, a lifting column or a self-driving wheeled base, it is steadier, far more affordable and ready to deploy today, while still reaching, grasping and manipulating objects like a person.
Torso & two arms
A waist, a 2-DOF head and two 5–7-DOF arms with interchangeable grippers and dexterous hands.
Fixed, column or mobile
Bench-mount it, add a lift column for ~2 m reach, or a self-driving wheeled base — no fragile legs.
Built to manipulate
±0.1 mm accuracy and up to ~15 kg per arm for real pick-and-place, assembly and handling.
Embodied-AI ready
Jetson Orin / Intel compute and cameras to collect data and train manipulation models.
The lightweight dual-arm
Unitree R1-A
The most accessible way into dual-arm manipulation. The R1-A is a compact, fixed-base semi-humanoid — a torso with two expressive arms, a 2-DOF head and a waist joint — that picks, places and manipulates with ±0.1 mm accuracy. Light (around 11–13 kg) and quick to set up, it is ideal for teaching, embodied-AI experiments and bench-top automation.
- Two dexterous arms — 5-DOF (R1-A5) or 7-DOF (R1-A7) arms with a waist and 2-DOF head for human-like reach.
- Precise manipulation — 2–4 kg arm payload and ±0.1 mm end-clamp accuracy for real pick-and-place tasks.
- On-board AI — 8-core CPU in body and head, a 10-TOPS head module and a binocular camera (optional wrist camera).
- Bench-ready base — Fixed base mounts on a desk or cart — up and running without legs or balance control.
- Research-friendly — A low-cost entry to imitation learning, teleoperation and embodied-AI datasets.
The standard platform
Unitree G1-D Standard
A full dual-arm semi-humanoid on a lifting column. Two 7-DOF arms, a 2-DOF waist and a 420 mm lift column give it a ~2 m operating height — reaching from the floor to a high shelf. With an NVIDIA Jetson Orin brain (100 TOPS), a head binocular camera and two wrist cameras, it is a serious data-collection and manipulation platform.
- 7-DOF dual arms — 19 DOF in total — two 7-DOF arms, a 2-DOF waist, a lift column and grippers — for whole-upper-body reach.
- Floor-to-shelf reach — A 420 mm lift column (1 mm accuracy, 60 mm/s) gives a ~2 m maximum operating height.
- Strong, precise grip — Dex1-1 Plus grippers: 90 mm stroke, 5–120 N adjustable force, up to 20 kg form-fitting grip, 0.1 mm resolution.
- Jetson Orin brain — 8-core CPU plus NVIDIA Jetson Orin 16 GB (100 TOPS), head binocular and two wrist HD cameras.
- Quick-release battery — A 2-hour quick-swap battery for continuous data-collection sessions.
Available in 6 end-effector configurations (A–F) — from two-finger grippers to dexterous three-finger, tactile and five-finger hands. Quote the configuration you need. See all →
The mobile flagship
Unitree G1-D Flagship
Everything in the G1-D Standard, now mobile. The Flagship adds a self-driving dual-wheel base — the robot rolls to the workbench, rotates 360° in place and navigates with LiDAR and depth cameras — so a single dual-arm platform collects data and runs tasks across a whole lab or line.
- Mobile dual-wheel base — 1.5 m/s with 360° in-place rotation, LiDAR, two depth cameras and collision/low-obstacle sensing.
- 21 DOF in total — Two 7-DOF arms, a 2-DOF waist, lift column, grippers and the 2-DOF mobile base.
- Choice of hands — Force-controlled grippers, 3-finger dexterous (with tactile), Revo 2 or a Wuji five-finger hand — variants A–F.
- Works at human height — ~0.45 m reach and ~2 m operating height for benches, shelves and tables.
- Research-ready — A mobile data-collection and model-training base for embodied-AI and manipulation research.
The heavy-duty flagship
Unitree H2-A
The muscle of the range. The H2-A is a fixed-base dual-arm semi-humanoid built for industrial and commercial work — each arm lifts up to ~15 kg and reaches 600 mm, driven by Intel Core i5/i7 compute (with optional Jetson Thor). Built to run around the clock, it is the platform for serious manipulation, automation and embodied-AI research.
- Heavy-lift arms — Single-arm ~15 kg peak / ~7 kg rated load and 600 mm reach for demanding tasks.
- Industrial grippers — Dex1-1 Plus two-finger grippers with wrist cameras — 5–120 N force, 0.1 mm resolution, 90 mm stroke.
- Serious compute — Intel Core i5 and i7 onboard, with optional NVIDIA Jetson Thor and Orin NX slots.
- Runs around the clock — About 8 hours on battery or 7×24 h on direct power, with OTA updates and a 12-month warranty.
- 19–21 DOF — Dual arms plus end-effectors for whole-upper-body manipulation.
Available in 13 configurations (A–M) — different hand/end-effector and compute options, including optional NVIDIA Jetson Thor. Quote the configuration you need. See all →

FAQ
Semi-humanoid robots in India — FAQs
Common questions buyers ask before ordering a dual-arm semi-humanoid in India.
What is a semi-humanoid robot?
A semi-humanoid robot is a human-like upper body — torso, waist, a 2-DOF head and two dexterous arms — on a fixed, lift-column or mobile base instead of bipedal legs. It reaches, grasps and manipulates objects like a person, but is steadier, more affordable and easier to deploy than a full humanoid. It is used mainly for manipulation and embodied-AI research.
Which semi-humanoid robots does XBOOM sell in India?
XBOOM is an authorised Unitree distributor and supplies the full dual-arm semi-humanoid range: the entry Unitree R1-A (R1-A5 / R1-A7), the Unitree G1-D Standard and mobile G1-D Flagship, and the heavy-duty Unitree H2-A — each in multiple hand/end-effector configurations, with setup and training from our team.
What is the difference between the G1-D Standard and Flagship?
Both are 7-DOF dual-arm platforms with a 2-DOF waist, a lift column (~2 m reach) and a Jetson Orin brain (100 TOPS). The Standard sits on a fixed lift-column base (19 DOF); the Flagship adds a self-driving dual-wheel base with LiDAR and depth cameras (1.5 m/s, 360°, 21 DOF) so it can move between workstations.
What can a dual-arm semi-humanoid do?
Real two-handed work: pick-and-place, assembly, sorting, handling and tool use, plus data collection and teleoperation for training embodied-AI and manipulation models. Hands range from two-finger grippers to three-finger dexterous, tactile and five-finger hands, with ±0.1 mm accuracy and up to ~15 kg per arm on the H2-A.
Fixed base or mobile base — which do I need?
A fixed or lift-column base (R1-A, G1-D Standard, H2-A) is simplest and most affordable for bench and cell work. Choose the mobile G1-D Flagship when one robot must serve several workstations or collect data across a lab or line. We help you decide based on your tasks.
How much does a semi-humanoid robot cost, and do you support it?
Pricing depends on the platform, arm/hand configuration, compute and after-sales coverage, so XBOOM quotes per configuration on request. Every unit ships with manufacturer warranty, and XBOOM’s team handles commissioning, SDK onboarding and training. Contact [email protected].
