What makes it work
Unitree A2-W
Wheel Shadow — speed across the field. A heavy-load wheeled paradigm combining an industrial-grade mobile platform with high-efficiency wheel-drive architecture: ~180N·m max joint torque, 100kg standing payload, hot-swappable dual batteries, and speeds up to 6m/s.
High-Efficiency Wheel-Drive, Heavy Industrial Payload
The Unitree A2-W combines a high-efficiency wheel-drive architecture with heavy payload capacity and agility, suited for industrial inspection, park logistics, emergency rescue and more. It weighs about 52kg with its battery, running on 16 industrial-grade joint motors with crossed roller bearings that deliver approximately 180N·m of max joint torque — enough for a standing load of about 100kg and a continuous walking load of about 25kg (up to approximately 35kg ideally). It runs unloaded for more than 3.5 hours (about 35km) or over 1.5 hours (about 15km) carrying a 25kg load, powered by a dual-slot, dual-battery system that supports hot-swapping without stopping the mission. This is an all-new, high-quality mobile hardware platform with an open architecture, ready to use for rapid development and efficient deployment.
Four Pillars of the A2-W
Speed Across the Field
Mobile Platform, Adaptability, Perception & Power
Industrial-Grade Mobile Platform — Heavy-Load Wheeled Paradigm
The A2-W's high-efficiency wheel-drive architecture combines payload capacity with agility, purpose-built for industrial inspection, park logistics, and emergency rescue deployments.
Superior Adaptability — Complex Environments Handled With Ease
An all-new, high-quality mobile hardware platform with an open architecture, ready to use out of the box for rapid development and more efficient deployment across varied field conditions.
Dual-Sided Perception — Zero Blind Spots, Greater Accuracy
The standard A2-W carries a single LiDAR with an HD camera and front light to detect the environment ahead. The A2-W Pro steps this up to 2 industrial LiDARs (front and rear) for zero-blind-spot coverage.
Hot-Swappable Dual Batteries · Unlimited Runtime
A dual-battery parallel design lets operators swap batteries without stopping the mission — the eternal heart for extreme deployments. A reliable triple power system guarantees stable operation from -20°C to 55°C.

Common Questions — A2-W
How is the A2-W different from the legged A2?
The A2-W replaces the standard legged foot design with a 16-motor wheel-drive architecture (vs 12 motors on the A2) and 190mm tires, reaching higher top speeds of up to 6m/s (vs up to 5m/s on the A2), though its sustained speed range and unloaded runtime differ slightly due to the wheeled design.
How much payload can the A2-W carry?
The A2-W supports a standing load of about 100kg, and can continuously walk while carrying about 25kg (up to approximately 35kg ideally).
How long does the battery last?
Unloaded, the A2-W runs for more than 3.5 hours (about 35km). Carrying a 25kg load, it runs for more than 1.5 hours (about 15km). The dual-battery system supports hot-swapping without stopping the mission.
Are GPS, 4G and the wireless vector follow module included?
No, not on the standard A2-W — these are optional additions. They are included as standard, expanded features on the A2-W Pro.
What is the ingress protection rating?
The standard A2-W carries an IP56 rating. The A2-W Pro steps this up to IP56–IP67, with core components specifically rated IP67.
Does the A2-W support secondary development?
Yes. The A2-W fully supports secondary development and continuous smart OTA upgrades, with an 8-core CPU plus Intel Core i7 included for user development.
