A SLAMTEC A1 360° Lidar for path planning, a 3D depth camera for point-cloud imaging and RTAB mapping, a 2-DoF pan-tilt camera for FPV and active tracking, plus a 7-inch IPS touchscreen mounted right on the deck so students see RViz live as the robot moves.

Mecanum chassis

360° omnidirectional motion, high-precision suspension, closed-loop encoders.

Four Mecanum wheels driven by magnetic encoder motors with closed-loop control give JetAuto true omnidirectional movement — forward, sideways, diagonal, in-place rotation. The pendulum suspension keeps traction on uneven lab floors. Perfect odometry feedback for SLAM and autonomous navigation experiments.

Multimodal AI

ChatGPT voice, YOLOv8 vision, MediaPipe gestures — all on-device.

TensorRT acceleration on the Jetson Nano runs YOLOv8 object detection, MediaPipe human recognition and gesture control at real-time framerates. A 6-microphone far-field array handles ChatGPT multimodal conversation. TensorFlow, PyTorch and OpenCV are pre-installed and pre-tuned.
