DJI's smartest beginner drone — under 249 g, omnidirectional obstacle sensing, 4K/60fps video, 8K stills, and a dedicated 2.7K vertical mode for Reels. The lowest-friction way into serious aerial photography.
DJI redesigned its entire entry-level lineup around three things first-time pilots actually need: get it in the air without permits, don't crash it, and shoot content that posts itself.
Below the 250 g threshold that triggers mandatory drone registration in most markets — including DGCA Nano category in India. Foldable airframe drops into a jacket pocket. Travel without paperwork.
Omnidirectional vision that used to ship only on DJI's premium tiers — now the entry-level baseline. The drone watches every direction so beginners can focus on the shot. Auto Return-to-Home brings it back if signal or battery drops.
Dedicated portrait shooting — no crop, no rotate-and-pray. Add 4K/60fps video, 8K stills, ActiveTrack subject lock, and one-tap MasterShots/QuickShots. Your phone gets the file in seconds via Wi-Fi 6 QuickTransfer.
ULTRA LIGHT · 249 g
Weighing under 249 g, DJI Lito 1 lets you fly without registration or exams in most countries and regions. Folds down to palm size and drops into a jacket pocket, so you can travel light — weekend trips, hill stations, beach holidays, on-location shoots.
India: DGCA Nano category drones (≤ 250 g) do not require Remote Pilot Certificate or UIN registration for hobby use under 60 m AGL in non-restricted airspace. Always check NOTAMs and DigitalSky for your location.
A 1/2-inch CMOS with f/1.8 glass is a serious upgrade over the Mini 4K it replaces. Daytime shots stay crisp when zoomed and cropped; low-light footage holds up where older entry drones fall apart.

● SHOT ON LITO 1
The Lito 1's camera shoots 8K stills and 4K/60fps video from a single 1/2-inch CMOS sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 3-axis mechanical gimbal holding the horizon dead level — even through wind, banking turns, and high-speed tracking. Quick-cuts for social, locked-off cinematics for travel — same airframe.
Open-prop drones flying at 26+ mph need real obstacle awareness. The Lito 1 gets the omnidirectional sensing system DJI pioneered on its Mini 4 Pro — fish-eye optical sensors top and bottom, downward infrared, and a flight controller that decisively brakes when something gets close.
Forward, backward, lateral, upward and downward optical sensors operate down to 5 lux — same vision-sensing architecture as DJI's premium Mini 4 Pro.
0.3–8 m IR rangefinder for accurate hover and landing on uneven ground or low-texture surfaces.
Lock onto a moving subject (you, a bike, a vehicle) and the drone keeps it centered — with full obstacle avoidance running in parallel.
Triggers on low battery, lost signal, or one-button command. The drone navigates around obstacles back to its launch point.
Stable hover and stable footage in winds up to Beaufort 5 — comfortable for coastal, mountain, and rooftop shoots.
Manufacturer data from DJI. Real-world flight time and range vary with wind, temperature, and operator behaviour — assume ~70–80% of headline numbers.

Talk to a real pilot — not a chatbot. Our drone specialists fly these every week and can tell you, in 10 minutes, whether the Lito 1 is the right move for your weddings, treks, real-estate work, or first cinematic project.

The Lito 1 weighs under 249 g, which places it in DGCA's Nano category. Recreational nano-class drones flown below 50 ft AGL in non-restricted airspace do not require Unique Identification Numbers or remote-pilot licences. Commercial use, flights above 50 ft, or operation in green/yellow zones still requires DigitalSky compliance — we include a one-page India flying-rules card with every order.
The Lito 1 jumps to a 1/2" sensor with f/1.8 (vs. 1/2.3" on Mini 4K), adds full omnidirectional vision obstacle sensing (Mini 4K had none), upgrades video to 4K/60fps with 8K stills, and offers 36-min flight time. Note: the Mini series will no longer be updated — the Lito 1 internal storage. Same 36-min flight time class. For first-time buyers, the Lito 1 is now the obvious pick.
DJI's 36-minute figure is measured in still-air hover. In real conditions — wind, banking, sport mode, ActiveTrack — expect 24–28 minutes. Carry 2–3 batteries if you're shooting a session.
The Lito 1 uses a microSD card slot — there's no internal storage on this model (that's reserved for the X1, which gets 42 GB on board). Drop in a 256 GB or 512 GB UHS-I card and you'll hold hours of 4K/60 footage and thousands of 8K stills. We can pre-bundle a card with your order if you want a "first flight ready" kit.
The standard kit ships with the DJI RC-N3, which clamps your phone and uses the DJI Fly app. If you want a built-in screen, ask us about pairing the Lito 1 with the RC 2 controller (extra cost) — bright daylight visibility, no phone needed.
Yes. The Lito 1 has a dedicated 2.7K vertical capture mode — the gimbal is software-rotated and the sensor is read in portrait orientation. You get full-resolution 9:16 footage ready for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts without any cropping in post.
Yes — every Lito 1 from xBoom ships with the standard 1-year manufacturer warranty plus our in-house pickup-and-deliver repair service. We also stock DJI Care Refresh as an add-on, which covers accidental damage including flyaway and water damage with up to 2 replacements per year.
Absolutely. We rent from 2 days upward via our Rent-a-Drone programme — useful for one-off travel or a single shoot. See rental plans →
Verified reviews from Indian creators, travellers, and first-time pilots who bought through xBoom in the last 24 months. We don't curate — these are the most-recent 5-stars.
"My first drone ever. The omni vision saved me twice on day one — flew it through tight gaps with zero anxiety."
"The 2.7K vertical mode is genuinely a game-changer for my Reels. xBoom's training session got me confident in two hours."
"Sub-250 g means no DGCA paperwork — flew it on three domestic flights last month. Image quality blew me away."
A real human will help you choose Standard vs Fly More, walk you through DGCA paperwork, and book training. No hard sell.
