What makes it work
CRA Columnar Palletizing Workstation
A one-stop cobot palletizing workstation with a 1,150 mm fixed column reaching 1,740 mm palletizing height — 20 kg payload, up to 13 pcs/min, set up in 30 minutes without programming. Robot sold separately.
Fixed-Column Cobot Palletizer for Reliable End-of-Line Automation
The CRA Columnar Palletizing Workstation is a one-stop cobot palletizing solution built around the DOBOT CRA cobot (sold separately), with a maximum payload of 20 kg and a fixed column at 1,150 mm height — providing a maximum palletizing height of up to 1,740 mm. The palletizing pace can reach up to 13 pieces per minute in double-suction mode. It effortlessly meets palletizing needs across industries such as 3C electronics, healthcare, food, and beverage, and can flexibly switch between different production lines. Equipped with the Dobot palletizing process package, production can be set up easily in 30 minutes without any programming. The workstation occupies 1350 × 2220 mm, weighs 300 kg (excluding arm and end-effector), and is CE, FCC, and ICES-003 certified. The fixed-column design offers a robust, cost-effective structure for applications where a 1,740 mm palletizing height is sufficient.
Advantages Over Traditional Palletizing
Workstation Structure & Components
The Columnar Palletizing Workstation integrates six core structural components. The fixed column provides a robust structure at 1,150 mm height, delivering a 1,740 mm maximum palletizing height.
Set Up in 30 Minutes — No Programming
Equipped with the Dobot palletizing process package, production can be set up easily in 30 minutes without any programming. Rich features meet diverse palletizing tasks, making deployment simpler and faster.
High Efficiency with Double Vacuum Cups
It supports the Double-Vacuum-Cups mode, which can pick two boxes at a time for palletizing, achieving a palletizing output up to 12 pcs/minute — increasing efficiency by up to 62.5%. (The lifting column is required.)
Visual Configuration Process
The process package comes with a guided configuration interface and 3D display, allowing for quick setup of boxes, pallets, and stacking patterns with real-time visualization in the 3D preview window — making the entire application configuration simple and straightforward.
Supports Configuration of Box Transition Point and Target Point
It supports setting the palletizing point and transition point for the box, which can reduce the impact of the size difference of the box and the height difference of the pallet, without the need to reserve excessive gap space — making the boxes more compact. The palletizing point and transition point can be set separately for each box, making configuration more flexible.
Flexible Pattern Configuration
It supports customizing the order of box palletizing and entry directions of 8 types of boxes, which can be suitable for complex palletizing scenarios.
Supports Interlayer
In response to the needs of the food and beverage industries, the process package adds support for picking and placing partitions during the palletizing process to enhance stack stability. The partition picking and placing feature is simple, requiring only three steps: setting the partition picking point, transition point, and placing point.

Where This Workstation Is Used
Common Questions
Is the robot included with the Columnar Palletizing Workstation?
No — the CRA collaborative robot is sold separately and is not included in the workstation price. The workstation includes the palletizing base, fixed column, robot control cabinet, pallet detection device, external terminal panel, and the palletizing process package. The robot arm and end-effector vacuum gripper are purchased separately.
What is the difference between the Columnar and Lifting workstations?
The Columnar version uses a fixed column at 1,150 mm height, giving a maximum palletizing height of 1,740 mm. The Lifting version uses a column that rises up to 900 mm, reaching 2,100 mm palletizing height. The Columnar is a robust, cost-effective choice where 1,740 mm height is sufficient; the Lifting version suits higher stacks.
How fast can it palletize?
Maximum palletizing pace is up to 13 pieces per minute using double suction with single or double release. Single suction and single release delivers 9 pieces per minute. Actual speed depends on the weight, size, and layout of the boxes.
What certifications does it carry?
The workstation is certified CE (EU), FCC (US), and ICES-003 (Canada). The robot body carries IP54 protection and the palletizing workstation carries IP20 protection.
Does it require programming to set up?
No — the Dobot palletizing process package allows production setup in 30 minutes without any programming. It provides a guided configuration interface with a 3D display for setting up boxes, pallets, and stacking patterns with real-time visualization.
