Unitree B2 Contact Charger Kit: What It Actually Gives You
The Unitree B2 Contact Charger Kit gives the B2 the physical means to charge through contact alone — a belly electrode paired with the matching charging adapter, instead of plugging in a cable by hand. Most current B2 and B2-W units already ship with charging electrodes built into the belly, so this kit typically completes or replaces that hardware side of the system.
It’s worth being clear about what this doesn’t include. This is hardware only, so buying this kit — even alongside a LiDAR sensor — doesn’t by itself let the robot find its way to a charging station and dock on its own. Unitree does provide an SDK for reading power state and controlling charging-related actions, so the building blocks are there for a team to develop genuine autonomous charging on top of this hardware. That software and on-site setup work is a separate project, though, not something this kit delivers out of the box.
