What makes it work
Unitree As2edu-U1
The entry developer configuration of the As2 Edu line: ~90N·m max joint torque, 65kg standing payload, IP54 weather sealing, an Orin NANO 40TOPS expansion dock, full secondary development, and ISAAC SIM simulation support — with a charging pad included as standard.
Full Development Access, Entry Compute Tier
The Unitree As2edu-U1 carries the As2 Edu developer platform's full mechanical and sensing package: a 12-joint-motor aluminium-alloy chassis with industrial-grade crossed roller bearings, ~90N·m max joint torque, 65kg standing payload and 15kg continuous walking payload, an industrial-grade 64–128 line LiDAR, HD camera, array microphone, speaker, lighting, IP54 weather sealing, and GPS/4G (disabled by default, enabled with user authorization). The U1 configuration pairs this with an Orin NANO expansion dock delivering 40TOPS of onboard AI compute with AI algorithm and technical support, a charging pad, and full secondary development access — including robot models, simulation interfaces, and support for simulation environments such as Isaac Sim. Power comes from a long-range 15000mAh battery with a fast charger, and a handheld remote control is included as standard.
Four Pillars of the As2edu-U1
The As2 Platform — Agile Bionic Dynamics
Agile bionic motion up to 3.7m/s, with an IP54 rainproof design that keeps the As2edu-U1 stable across complex weather and environments.
Torque, Weatherproofing, Endurance & Development
Powerful Motors, Exceptional Payload
The As2edu-U1 runs on 12 low-inertia, high-speed inner rotor PMSM joint motors with enhanced response and heat dissipation, delivering approximately 90N·m of maximum joint torque. That supports a standing payload of up to 65kg, or approximately 15kg during continuous walking.
All-Weather Adaptability, Reliable Operation
The As2edu-U1 carries an IP54 rainproof rating and operates across -20°C to 50°C, keeping it stable in rain and dusty conditions across long development and field sessions.
Ultra-Long Endurance, Expand Boundaries
Powered by its 15000mAh long-range battery, the As2edu-U1 delivers over 4 hours of unloaded runtime (approximately 20km), or approximately 2.5 hours (about 13km) while carrying a 15kg load.
Open Platform, Empowering Innovation
The As2edu-U1 is built for development from the ground up: full secondary development support, the UniStore platform, continuous smart OTA upgrades, and comprehensive development manuals with ecosystem support. It provides robot models and simulation interfaces, supporting simulation environments such as Isaac Sim, with an Orin NANO expansion dock providing 40TOPS of AI compute and a charging pad included as standard. A depth camera is available as an optional addition.
Shared Chassis Design — As2edu-U1
The As2edu-U1 shares its core chassis, computing platform and connectivity foundation with the rest of the As2 family, tuned here for full developer access at the entry compute tier.
