Heading Without a Magnetic Compass
C-RTK 2 HP GNSS Heading Module: Genuine CUAV Hardware
This is a genuine CUAV module — “C-RTK 2HP” is clearly labeled on the housing, with connector ports for UART2, DSU, ANT2, CAN, and USB all silkscreened directly on the case. Its defining feature is single-module dual-antenna GPS heading: rather than relying on a magnetic compass (which drifts and can be thrown off by nearby ferrous metal or magnetic interference), it calculates heading directly from the phase difference between two GNSS antennas — genuinely more stable in complex electromagnetic environments, at a lower cost than running two separate GNSS modules for the same result.
Underneath that, it’s still a serious RTK positioning module in its own right: a 1408-channel GNSS SoC tracking BDS, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS simultaneously, delivering roughly 0.8cm + 1PPM horizontal RTK accuracy with more than 50 satellites available in RTK mode. An onboard RM3100 industrial compass provides a redundant heading source if needed, and both DroneCAN and UART connectivity mean it fits into PX4 or ArduPilot builds either as a CAN-bus peripheral or a conventional serial-connected GPS.
