Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Osmo Pocket 4 require a memory card?
No. The Osmo Pocket 4 comes with 107 GB of built-in storage, which holds approximately 220 minutes of 4K/60fps or 600 minutes of 1080p/24fps footage at standard bitrate — enough for a full day of shooting without a card. A microSD slot (up to 1 TB) is also available if you need more headroom.
What is the battery life and how fast does it charge?
The 1545 mAh battery records up to 240 minutes at 1080p/24fps or up to 135 minutes at 4K/60fps on a full charge. With a 65W USB-C PD charger (sold separately), it reaches 80% in just 18 minutes and charges fully in 32 minutes. An optional Battery Handle (sold separately) extends runtime by approximately 90 minutes.
Is the Osmo Pocket 4 waterproof?
No, the Osmo Pocket 4 does not have an official waterproof or weather-sealing rating. The exposed 3-axis gimbal mechanism and cooling vents make it vulnerable to moisture. A dedicated waterproof housing accessory is required for use in rain or wet environments.
Can it be used as a webcam for video calls and livestreaming?
Yes. The Osmo Pocket 4 supports UVC (USB Video Class) and DisplayPort output. Plug it into a computer via the included USB-C cable and it is instantly recognised as a webcam in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, OBS, and similar software. It also supports 1080p Wi-Fi livestreaming and 4K DisplayPort output for broadcast and business streaming.
Which microphones are compatible with the Osmo Pocket 4?
The Osmo Pocket 4 connects directly via OsmoAudio™ to Mic 2, Mic 3, and Mic Mini transmitters — no receiver required. Up to two transmitters can be connected simultaneously, enabling 4-channel audio recording with each source on its own track. The built-in three-microphone array also supports spatial audio and audio zoom independently.
