The Unitree H2 is now shipping from XBOOM — and it’s the humanoid a lot of Indian operators have been waiting for. Not a research curiosity, not a stage prop that walks in a straight line and freezes. A 1.82 m full-size humanoid robot that Unitree positions as the first in its line where industrial pilots actually become commercially viable. If you’ve been watching humanoids from a distance wondering when they’d be ready for real work, this is the one worth a closer look.
As the authorised Unitree distributor for India, we’re now taking orders, quotes and pilot briefs for the H2. Here’s what it is, what it can do, and how to decide between the two editions.
A 1.82 m humanoid built for presence — and work
The H2 stands 1.82 m tall and weighs around 70 kg — genuinely human-scale, which matters more than it sounds. A robot built to work in spaces designed for people has to be the size of a person: reaching the same shelves, passing through the same doorways, standing eye-to-eye at a reception desk.
Unitree built it from aircraft-grade aluminium, titanium alloy and high-strength engineering plastics, wrapped in a streamlined bionic shell. There’s an optional bionic head with facial features — and even a clothed configuration — for deployments where human-like presence is the entire point, like a hotel lobby or a retail floor.
Unitree H2 specifications at a glance
Numbers tell the story faster than paragraphs, so here’s the H2 by the numbers:
Three of those figures deserve a second look:
- 31 degrees of freedom — 7 per arm, 3 at the waist, 2 in the head. That waist articulation is what lets the H2 bend, twist and reach the way a person does, instead of the stiff, upright shuffle older humanoids were stuck with.
- 360 N·m peak leg torque (120 N·m per arm joint) — driven by low-inertia PMSM motors on industrial crossed-roller bearings. That’s the muscle behind stable walking, balance recovery and carrying a real load.
- Up to 2070 TOPS of on-board AI — with the high-power module, the H2 can run an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor on-device, executing vision-language-action models locally instead of streaming everything to a server. That’s what turns a remote-controlled body into something that can perceive, decide and act on its own.
Add a 7 kg rated arm payload (15 kg peak), a wide-FOV binocular camera, a microphone array and speaker, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 — and roughly 3 hours of runtime from its 0.97 kWh battery — and you have a platform that can genuinely put in a shift.
H2 vs H2 EDU: which one is for you?
The H2 ships in two editions on the same 1.82 m chassis. The difference is the brain, the hands and the warranty — and it maps cleanly to what you actually want to do with it.
In short: the H2 is the presence-and-deployment flagship — Intel Core i5, an 8-month warranty, and a body built to greet, guide and perform. It’s the right pick for hospitality, retail and brand activation, where a 1.8 m biped that people stop to film does real commercial work just by being there.
The H2 EDU is the developer and industry edition. It adds an Intel i7 and two open GPU slots (so you can push it to that 2070 TOPS ceiling), a choice of 10 dexterous-hand configurations — Unitree Dex5-1, Dex3-1, BrainCo Revo 2, third-party DFQ and FTP, and Dex1-1 grippers — full secondary development, and a 12-month warranty. That’s the one for industrial pick-and-place pilots and manipulation research.
Where the H2 goes to work
Because the H2 is the first Unitree humanoid built for deployment rather than the lab, the use cases are concrete:
- Industrial pick-and-place — kit assembly, line feeding and parts staging on lines originally built for human operators (a job for the EDU, with a dexterous hand fitted).
- Hospitality & retail — lobby concierge, greeter and in-store assistant, where presence converts attention into business.
- Brand activation & events — launches, exhibitions and keynotes: a full-size biped on stage that audiences film and share.
- Manipulation research — dexterous grasping and foundation-model fine-tuning across a full 10-option hand catalogue.
Buying the Unitree H2 in India, through XBOOM
A humanoid is a serious purchase, so we handle it as one. XBOOM is the authorised Unitree distributor for India — genuine units through the official channel, never grey imports. Every H2 comes with:
- An INR quote within one working day, GST inclusive, with AMC and financing options.
- The 1-Year xBoom AMC — parts and labour, on-site India visits, OTA tracking and a dedicated engineer.
- KYC, training and onboarding handled end-to-end (KYC approval is required before dispatch).
- Pan-India delivery plus GCC, shipped from our Bengaluru and Dubai bases.
Not ready to buy outright? The H2 is also available through our Robots-as-a-Service programme for activations, film and events — operator, transit insurance and on-site setup included.
The humanoid era stopped being a demo reel this year. If you’ve got a deployment in mind — a pilot, an activation or a research programme — the H2 is ready, and so are we.
