The X7 Family, Distilled Into One Integrated Board
Nora Flight Controller: Genuine CUAV Nora+ Hardware
This is a genuine CUAV module — all three product images clearly show “Nora+” labeled directly on the housing, alongside the CUAV logo. CUAV’s own documentation confirms Nora+ replaced the original Nora as of January 2022, carrying forward the same core idea: an integrated-motherboard variant of the X7 family, combining the FMU and carrier board into a single compact unit rather than a separate module-plus-baseboard design. That integration means fewer internal connectors and fewer potential points of failure, without giving up the sensor redundancy that makes the X7 line reliable.
Inside, it’s built around an STM32H743 processor at up to 480MHz, with a triple-redundant IMU set (a low-noise ICM-42688-P primary sensor plus two ICM20689 units — an upgrade from the original Nora’s sensor trio) and an industrial-grade RM3100 compass, rather than the consumer-grade magnetometers found in cheaper flight controllers. Dual MS5611 barometers and internal vibration isolation round out a sensor package built for reliable flight data. With 14 PWM outputs (12 supporting DShot), dual CAN buses, and dual GPS ports, it has the connectivity for genuinely complex UAV builds running PX4 or ArduPilot.
