One Damaged Joint, One Genuine Part

Unitree Go1 Joint Motor: A Genuine GO-M8010-6 Actuator for Precise Repairs

Every leg on the Go1 relies on three of these motors working together — one at the body (hip) joint, one at the thigh, and one at the calf — for 12 motors across the whole robot. This is the genuine GO-M8010-6 “GO Motor,” a permanent magnet synchronous actuator delivering up to 23.7 N·m of torque through a 1:6.33 reduction gearbox, with a built-in 15-bit absolute encoder feeding back torque, angle, angular velocity, and temperature over an RS-485 connection at up to 4Mbps.

Because each joint moves through a different range and plays a different mechanical role, the body, thigh, and calf motors are genuinely different components, not one universal part relabeled three ways — confirm exactly which joint has failed before ordering, since the wrong position won’t restore correct movement. At roughly 520g each, replacing a single motor lets you restore factory-level performance to one joint without needing to replace the whole leg assembly.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which Unitree Go1 Joint Motor to order?
Identify which specific joint has failed — the body (hip), the thigh, or the calf — and order the matching motor. The three positions are not interchangeable.
What’s the motor’s technical design?
It’s the genuine GO-M8010-6 permanent magnet synchronous motor, delivering up to 23.7 N·m through a 1:6.33 reduction gearbox, with RS-485 communication at up to 4Mbps.
Can I replace just one motor, or do I need to replace the whole leg?
Just the one motor. The Go1’s modular joint design lets each motor be replaced individually, without swapping the entire leg assembly.
What sensor feedback does the motor provide?
Torque, angle, angular velocity, and temperature, all fed back through a built-in 15-bit absolute encoder for accurate motion control.
How many of these motors does one Go1 use?
12 total — one body (hip), one thigh, and one calf motor per leg, across the robot’s 4 legs.
Is pricing available online?
This is priced on request, in line with xBoom’s other genuine Unitree spare parts. Reach out to xBoom for a current quote, and specify which joint position you need.
