Horizontally Opposed Four-Cylinder with Forged Crankshaft
The ZT-T550 uses a horizontally opposed, four-cylinder layout with a bore of 66mm and stroke of 40mm, giving 550cc displacement. The engine operates across 1300–7500 rpm and delivers 49.62hp (37kW).
The crankshaft is a forged seven-piece assembly for maximum strength. Pistons are oval-ground aluminium alloy castings. Cylinders are cast aluminium alloy with a ceramic nickel-silicon hardened inner-wall coating for extended wear resistance. Lubrication ratio: 50:1.
Solid-State Magneto with CDI Automatic Angle Ignition
