The R1 lineup comes in three variants. R1 AIR is the entry configuration with 20 degrees of freedom and a monocular camera. The standard R1 steps up to 26 degrees of freedom, a 2-DOF head, and binocular vision for sharper environmental awareness. R1 EDU adds high-power compute (Orin-based modules up to 100 TOPS) and full secondary development access for teams building custom AI or motion behaviors. Across all variants, the robot stays under 123 cm tall and around 27-29 kg, runs on an 8-core processor with a 4-mic array and onboard speaker, and supports continuous OTA software updates so it keeps improving after purchase.
