A brushless DC motor uses electronic commutation instead of physical brushes, which generally means less internal friction and wear, smoother torque delivery, and a longer service life than a comparable cored/brushed motor — exactly the tradeoff Energize Lab’s own product description highlights. It is not confirmed to be the servo inside Eilik or Panxer; what it shares with them is the same manufacturer and the same TTL control protocol, applied here to industrial-grade brushless hardware.
Note: despite the “50-15/30/60/90” model numbering suggesting a clean torque progression, Energize Lab’s own EPS-5060 is a genuine outlier — its published stall torque is 3kg, not the ~60kg the naming pattern would suggest. Verified directly against the manufacturer’s own comparison table, not a typo on our part.
