The EXA Series’ Mid-Torque Option

EXA-4030 Brushless Servo Motor: Genuine Energize Lab Hardware

The EXA-4030 is genuine Energize Lab hardware — “EXA-4030” and the Energize Lab logo are machined directly into a precision metal housing, visible across all 3 product photos. It sits between the compact EXA-4015 and the higher-torque EXA-4060 in Energize Lab’s precision EXA Series, all sharing the same machined-metal build quality.

At 30kg stall torque — double the EXA-4015’s rating — in a housing just slightly larger (38.5×21×32mm vs. 29×16.5×24.5mm) and heavier (65g vs. 35g), the EXA-4030 targets demanding robotic arm joints and mid-load actuation where the smaller EXA-4015 wouldn’t have enough torque. Its 50 RPM no-load speed, slower than the EXA-4015’s 60 RPM, reflects the same speed-for-torque tradeoff seen across Energize Lab’s other servo lines.

From the Same Manufacturer Behind Eilik

The EXA-4030 is genuine Energize Lab hardware from its precision EXA Series — a different, brushless-motor product line from the cored-motor EM and EH servos used in Energize Lab’s consumer robots. It is not confirmed to be the servo inside Eilik or Panxer; what it shares with them is the same manufacturer and the same TTL control protocol.

The Company Behind This Hardware

Energize Lab hasn’t published an EXA-4030-specific demo — this is precision/industrial hardware, not consumer content. Honestly labeled: these are official Energize Lab videos of Eilik and Panxer, its consumer robots, included here only to show Energize Lab is a real, established manufacturer — not as a claim that this exact part is used inside them.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of product is the EXA-4030 Brushless Servo Motor?
It’s a compact brushless smart servo motor — a self-contained rotary actuator with built-in control electronics, meant to be installed as a mid-load joint inside a robotic arm, gripper, or similar mechanism, not used as a standalone device.
Is the EXA-4030 brushless or coreless?
Brushless. As with the EXA-4015, we checked this directly against xBoom’s own listing and Energize Lab’s manufacturer specification page — both confirm Brushless, not the “coreless” figure some other sources have circulated.
How does the EXA-4030 compare to the EXA-4015?
The EXA-4030 delivers twice the stall torque (30kg vs. 15kg) in a slightly larger and heavier housing (38.5×21×32mm/65g vs. 29×16.5×24.5mm/35g), drawing more current (4A vs. 1.2A) at a slightly slower no-load speed (50 RPM vs. 60 RPM).
Is this the servo used inside Eilik or Panxer?
Not confirmed. Eilik’s confirmed servo is the smaller, cored-motor EM-3. The EXA-4030 is Energize Lab’s precision brushless line, a different product family.
What voltage does it need?
12V input, drawing up to 4A at stall.
Are there other sizes in this servo family?
Yes — Energize Lab’s EXA Series also includes the smaller EXA-4015 (15kg) and the EXA-4060 flagship (60kg) for higher-torque requirements.
